AAA Insurance Claim
My message to SnS on July 25th:
Good morning Taufeeq, Salaam.
Last night, I drove through a flooded area and unfortunately, my car broke down. It's currently parked at the Delta Gas Station on Front Street in Plainfield.
This morning, I plan to call AAA to have it towed to your garage—S&S Auto Shop. I have full insurance coverage on my Toyota Highlander, and it’s likely the car will be declared a total loss.
My AAA insurance also includes a rental car option, so I’ll be arranging for a rental vehicle as well.
My message to SnS on July 20th:
Taufeeq, Assalamu Alaikum.
How are you doing? Any updates on my car search and the Highlander payout from AAA Insurance?
Also, I have a small request, if you happen to come across any piece of the block calendar shown in the picture, please let me know. One of the month blocks is missing. It might be in either my car or yours.
My message on July 21st:
Could you please do me a favor? Remove the wet air filter and oil filter from the car. After draining the engine oil, leave the car open for a few days to allow any remaining water to evaporate before rust sets in. I’m hopeful it will start again, as it used to start and stop before it completely shut down.
I draining the oil, opening the air ducts, and any other necessary services.
Please continue to charge AAA insurance for storage until my car is picked up or further notice is given.
My message on July 25th to SnS:
I got a message from AAA. They want to cancel the storage at your place because they haven't heard anything yet about my car repair or estimate.

Salaam,
Please keep an eye on the Mazda CX-90 for me.
I am planning to purchase a plug-in hybrid vehicle as you know, Although I wasn't initially considering local options, the urgency and demands of daily life may lead me to search nearby. A dealer is currently interested in making a deal on this car.
Also, when would be a good time to contact my Iraqi friend about the Toyota Highlander to pick the car from your lot? As mentioned earlier, please keep me updated.

Can you do me a favor? I just spoke with AAA, and they’re requesting the diagnostic report. Their auto insurance team wants to verify the reason the car won’t start. According to them, there's no evidence proving the issue is due to flood damage, rather mechanical failure so they need documentation. They're not happy that the diagnostic report hasn't been provided.
We’re still trying to understand your reasoning, why would you consider giving up on the car without solid proof of the problem? Also, is AAA still covering the storage fees for the car at your yard?
As both a trusted friend and a good businessman, we’re counting on you to help us make sense of this.
My message to SnS on July 30th:
Please take note of the two claim numbers and take appropriate action to resolve this issue, which has been pending for the past two weeks.
Flood damage claim # 106 32 6206
Collision claim # 1006 33 0159
SnS response on July 30th
you want different invoices for both the claims?
My response July 30th:
I just want to recover the money for the car repair which might be required. I don't have to be two claims to be filled hopefully one should be enough
My text message to SnS on July 30th:
The car sustained flood damage on July 14, 2025, and was towed to SnS Auto Services the following morning, July 15.
On July 16, the insurance adjuster inspected the vehicle and mentioned that it had been started. It’s likely the engine was damaged during that process, as the oil and air filters were not replaced beforehand, which may have caused further issues.
When I visited the shop the next day, the car would not start. According to SnS Auto Services, they submitted the diagnostic report on July 21, 2025.
My text message to SnS July 30th:
I should resolve this issue now. Today is the 15th day
I want to make sure that my EZPass is secured

SnS reply July 30th:
Okay I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to send the email today. You will have the email before 9am tomorrow.
My text to SnS on July 30th:
AAA Auto Insurance has refused to pay any portion of my claim, citing delays in the process. Due to this frustration and continued procrastination and lack of resolution, I am now compelled to take the next appropriate legal step against AAA.
SnS response on July 30th:
Let me resend them the email tomorrow and I'll try to talk to them
