Middle path - درمیانی راستہ

نہیں معلوم ہے وہاں رنگ اب و شراب  کیا ہوگا

Nahi maloom hai wahan rang aab o sharaab kiya hoga 

It is not known what will be the color of water and wine there

بنا بہکے ہوئے دانا کا جام ے شراب کیا ہوگا

Bina baihkey huye Dana ka jaam e sharab kiya hoga

Without being intoxicated what will be the color of sage wine?

تین رنگوں میں رنگا انسان کا پیمانہ ہے

Teen rango mein ranga insaan ka paimana hai

In three colors, the huminity is measured.

کچھ دائیں کچھ بائیں کچھ درمیانہ ہے

Kuch daayein kuch baayein kuch darmiyana hai

Some are on the  right, some are on the left, some are in the middle 

کچھ ظالم کچھ عالم مظلوم کچھ دیوانہ ہے

Kuch zalim kuch aalim mazloom kuch diwana hai

Some are cruel, some are  oppressed intellectual, some are crazy

کچھ جاہل کچھ قابل کچھ عالم اعلانہ ہے

Kuch jahil kuch qabil kuch alim ailanah hai

Some are ignorant, some are capable, some are declared scholars

چنا دانا نئے حسن مزاج درمیانہ ہے

Chuna Dana ne husn e mizaj darmiyana hai

Sage man adopted a good nature of moderation

 یقین انسان کا خالق میں فطرتا نا توانا ہے

Yaqeen insaan ka khaliq mein fitrata natawana hai

Man's belief in the Creator is inclined toward weakness
