Wise enemies, and foolish friends - عقلمند دشمن بیوقوف دوست

کتنے اچھے ہیں میرے دشمن جو ذہین ہوتے ہیں

Kitney achchey hein merey dushman jo zaheen  hotey hein

How good are my enemies those who are intelligent

اپنے یاروں سے بھی زیادہ وہ حسین ہوتے ہیں

Apney Yaron se bhi ziyada wo haseen hotey hein

They are more intelligent than their peers

دلیل دیتے ہیں تو وہ علم سے وسیم ہوتے ہیں

Daleel detey hein tow wo ilm se waseem (handsome) hotey hein

If they argue, they use reasoning 

دونوں جہاں میں وہ  قابل رحم ہوتے ہیں

Dono jahan mein woh  qabil Raheem hotey hein

Both of them here and hereafter make their lord get pathetic,

محبت کرتے ہیں علی سے وہ دانا

Mohobat kartey hein Ali se woh Dana 

O prudent man, they love Ali

اپنی دنیا میں وہ نیم حکیم ہوتے ہیں

Apni duniya woh neem Hakeem hotey hein

In their world, they are semi-sages
