 ہمیں یوں ہی آئے اور یوں ہی واپس چلے گئے
Ham uheen Aye aur uheen  wapas chaley gaye
We came here like this and went back from here like this

 مقصد تو ذرا پوچھ ہے خود سے دانا
Maqsad tow Zara puchiye khud se Dana
O' prudent man, the goal of life is to ask yourself

 ہم کیوں یہاں  آئے اور کیوں واپس چلے گئے
Ham kuin yahan Aye aur kuin wapas chaley gaye
Why did we come here, and why did we go back?

دریا کی موج کے ساتھ  ہم اٹھے اور  چلے گئے
Dariya ki moj ke sath Ham uththey  chaley gaye
With the tide of the river we rise and we go

 بہار انے پر آئے خزاں پر ہم چلے گئے
Bahaar aney par Aye khizan par Ham chaley gaye
We came in spring and went back in autumn
