ایک ظالم کے مقابل لانا تھا مظلوم
Ek zalim ke muqabil Lana tha mazloom

The oppresed were to be brought against an oppressor.

ورنہ زمانے کو حقیقت نہ ہوتی معلوم
Warna zamaney ko haqiqat na hoti maloom

Otherwise, the times would not know the truth.

رات کی تاریکی کو چیر کے جب نکلی سورج کی کرن
Raat ki tareeqi ko cheer ke jab nikli suraj ki kiran

When the sun broke through the darkness of the night

بن کے قلم لکھنے لگی رات کے افسانے
Ban ke qalm likhney lagi raat ke afsaney

It turned into a pen and began writing tales of the night

نظر انے لگے دانا کو جو تھے اس میں دیوانے
Nazar aney lagey Dana ko jo  thaiy eismey diwaney

As the darkness cleared up, they became visible.to Sage

اس اندھیری رات میں مر گئے کتنے پروانے
Eis andheri raat mein margaye kitney parwaney

How many moth flies died in this dark night
